🎴 Jira Convert Task To Bug
one to close all sub-tasks when you mark a parent as done; one (like the rule you have in your screenshot) to close the parent when all sub-tasks are done. For the second rule, you are almost there, but you have a strange combination of conditions in your rule at first sight. You should eliminate the second condition in your For Parent branch
Community Leader. May 15, 2017. This is a bit of a bug-bear in JIRA Service Desk. The problem is that you absolutely do *not* want to move an issue from a Service Desk into a Software project. If you do that, it looks to the customer like you have deleted their JSD request, which is, at best, confusing, and at worst, looks rude and ignorant!
You can use Bulk Move. Open subtask, there is "Move" option in three dots submenu. Set destination project to same as your source. Change destination type to "Story". Same - I currently want to convert some sub-tasks that I realized should be their own tasks. This is a pretty broken aspect of next-gen projects.
I'm using Jira Server 8.0.3. I created a new issue type and a workflow associated with it. Before this new issue type we used to control the work with stories. I'd like to convert some stories to this new issue type but when I try to edit a story and change its issue type, it only allows me to change it to a Bug, Task or Epic.
The Backlog is designed to show the independent items. In the Board view you can show the Sub-tasks by changing the grouping for the board to Subtasks. Otherwise, sub-tasks are indicated by the child task symbol on their parent issue. The same symbol appears on the parent issue in the Backlog. Like.
Run the following JQL in Advanced Search: Replace XXX with your prefer project. For better result, include the issuetype to ensure the issues set to the right request type. In Issue Navigator, choose Tools >> Bulk Operation. From the list of operations, select "Transition Issues". Finish the operation.
We made a choice by adding sub-bugs as sub-tasks for an "external dependency" reason: We moved recently from TFS to Jira and we still automatically generating tasks and branches in TFS for each task created in Jira and not for sub-tasks (our code and build system is still being managed in TFS for now and for sometime ahead).
Select More > Convert to sub-task. In the Step 1. Select Parent Issue and Sub-Task Type screen, type or select the appropriate parent issue type and the new issue type (i.e. a sub-task issue type). Select Next. If the issue's current status is not an allowed status for the new issue type, the Step 2.
In Next Gen, use Jira Automation to create a new rule. Trigger: Issue Transitioned (I used from In Progress to In Review) Condition: Advanced Compare Condition. First Value: { {worklog.comment}} Condition equals. Second value empty. Action: Send email. You can also do this with comments using same Condition and first value { {comment}}
Convert to sub-task is absent. Alexander Yaskevich Mar 26, 2019. Documentations says, if I need to convert an issue to a sub-task, I should follow these steps: Navigate to the issue you would like to convert. Select More > Convert to Sub-Task. But I simply have no "convert to sub-task" menu item. Why?
Create a new issue or add a comment to an existing issue. This handler creates a new issue or adds a comment to an existing issue. If the subject contains an issue key, the message is added as a comment to that issue. If no issue key is found, a new issue is created in the default project. Add a comment from the non quoted email body
Answer accepted. That is still the case. You can't add subtasks to sprints or move them to backlog without moving the parent story. You will have to either convert the subtasks to stories or split the story and move the subtasks to the new story. The stories should then be moved to the backlog.
