5w40 will run better than 10w40 in the cold and is has equal performance there after. I've been using it in my goldwings for years and is going in my AT DCT next (2nd) oil change. I hear ya. 46 posts · Joined 2016. #16 · Aug 3, 2016. I have the Booster Plug on mine and it is like a night and day difference. First two tanks of gas took a 1.6-2.3 mpg hit but this mornings fill up I was actually better than before. 47.69 mpg. Best $150 I have spent for mine so far!

If the dealer was competent enough, the problem would have been diagnosed and resolved much sooner. The shifter pin issue seems to be related to 700's, I did not find any shifter pin case related to 750's. Africa Twin and other DCT models share the same component part number with 750's and so far there is no story about it failing.
Oil spilled at the time they over filled it was a dead give away since it ran down the engine case and looked to be an oil leak on the stator cover initially. That wasn't a leak it was spilled oil but the 1/2 qt over filled was real. I drained it out and it has been fine since. The pump leaking was present day one after the 2 mile PDI ride was
View attachment 59879. So basicly if abs light blinks then the problem is in abs system. If MIL light blinks then the problem is in PGM-FI system. And if you are getting DTC blinks from gear position indicator as blinking dash then you need to check DCT (dual clutch transmission) to find your problem.
The Africa Twin DCT, Goldwing DCT, and Rebel 1100 DCT are outselling their manual counterparts. Won’t be surprised if Honda’s next model is rebel 300/500 DCT. I tried the 1100 and had a few complaints as far as it being in a stupid high gear going 20-30mph and the shifting mid turn from a stop, but that’s the beauty of the paddle shifters
DCT Problem. Good Morning! Yesterday in the off I left the house with little gas and I reached the limit where the red light of fuel started to blink. At this moment, something very strange happened. The electronic injection warning light came on and the DCT stopped working. I drove about 10km looking for a station with a locked gear in 2nd gear.
